Leading children’s and family entertainer in Sussex, London and the South East, Potty the Pirate has over two decades of experience providing the very best hilarious and educational magic and puppet shows for all ages, plus fabulous balloon sculptures, pirate shanties, and much more!

Potty has made thousands of appearances at festivals, public and private events, birthday parties, in hotels and resorts, on cruise ships and cross-channel ferries, schools and pre-schools, as well as several appearances on TV.

Potty includes educational – and funny – routines in his shows – such as anti-bullying and anti-littering/pollution messages.

Before creating Potty the Pirate, Doug Roberts spent many years in the theatre – performing lead roles in musicals, operas, plays and pantomimes in repertory and professional productions around the UK.

Doug has been an avid magician and musician since his early childhood.

Potty has appeared on TV several times, including the award-winning documentary “Clowns”. He was also a finalist in “Countdown” and a “Come Dine With Me” winner.
